Other Half’s Wildest Berliner Weisse? 🦄🍺

A bright pink Berliner Weisse packed with dragon fruit and passion fruit is something I simply had to try. In this video, I’m reviewing DFPF, a collaboration between Other Half Brewing from Brooklyn, New York, and J. Wakefield Brewing as part of the famous Freaky Friday collaboration series.

✅ Founded in 2014, Other Half has become one of the world’s most respected craft breweries, earning a reputation for bold, hop-forward beers and creative experimental releases.

✅ The Berliner Weisse style is known for its refreshing lactic acidity, light body, and exceptional drinkability. DFPF takes that classic foundation and layers it with tropical fruit, creating a vibrant modern interpretation of the traditional German sour beer.

✅ In the glass, it pours a stunning raspberry pink with ruby highlights and a delicate pink head. The aroma bursts with passion fruit, guava, pink grapefruit, melon, and subtle dragon fruit, backed by a gentle yogurt-like lactic note.

✅ On the palate, I get lively acidity, juicy passion fruit, refreshing dragon fruit, and a clean mineral finish with hints of watermelon and kiwi. The fruit never overwhelms the beer, allowing the Berliner Weisse character to shine through.

📌 A beautifully balanced fruited sour that delivers huge tropical flavors while staying incredibly refreshing and dangerously drinkable.
